Bilt, the US rewards and payments company that started with rent payments, announced on November 2, 2026 that it has acquired LAVA, a loyalty and membership technology platform for sports and entertainment organisations, in a deal valued at $300 million. LAVA works with 56 professional sports franchises across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS.

Why it matters: LAVA has more than 300 technology adapters for point of sale, ticketing, identity, loyalty and payments systems, along with stored-value technology, which gives Bilt a way to take its rewards from housing into stadiums and venues. Bilt says its network has more than 7 million members and 50,000 merchant partners, and PYMNTS reports the company was valued at $10.75 billion when it raised $250 million in July 2025.
