Adyen reported third-quarter net revenue of €738.1 million on October 28, 2026, up 23%, and processed volume of €451.1 billion, up 30%. The Amsterdam payments company lowered its 2026 EBITDA margin expectation to 50% and dropped its medium-term EBITDA objective, and its shares fell about 12% in early trading, according to Reuters.
Why it matters: Adyen tied the lower margin to faster investment after adding Talon. One and Orb, which bring loyalty and billing software to its payments platform, and co-CEO Ingo Uytdehaage said Adyen plans 1,000 to 1,100 new hires in 2026, according to Reuters. Platforms net revenue grew 46% to €100.2 million, the fastest of Adyen’s three segments, and Adyen also joined the ECB digital euro pilot as an acquiring payment service provider.
