Visa Direct moves stablecoin prefunding into production with Inyo Global

Visa Direct’s USDC prefunding has moved from pilot to production, with Inyo Global the first enabler for cross-border payouts to 180+ countries.

Visa Direct's stablecoin prefunding has moved from pilot to commercial production, Visa said on October 15, with payments infrastructure provider Inyo Global as the first enabler. Businesses on Inyo's platform can now prefund cross-border payouts through Visa Direct with USDC in near real time, rather than relying only on traditional funding windows, with payouts reaching more than 180 countries.

Why it matters: Prefunding locks up cash before payouts go out, so round-the-clock funding in USDC targets a treasury cost for money transmitters and fintechs. Visa ran the pilots in 2025 and says it is working to bring stablecoin capabilities to more money movement use cases.
